Fish_weight represents the mass (weight) of fish detected in a region (or other applicable analysis domain).
It is calculated as follows:
where:
= Total mass (weight) of fish of species S in the domain (kg).
= Volumetric fish density for species S in the region (kg/m3). See Density_weight for method of calculation.
= The volume of the domain being analyzed/integrated (m3). See Volume_integration for method of calculation.
Note: Fish_weight can only be calculated if Volume_integration can be calculated. If it cannot be calculated a special value will typically be provided instead.
This variable is only calculated from multibeam data currently and is always exported with analyses.
