This is an experimental feature that allows you to color a surface using a raster image. The raster image is overlayed on the surface and follows the contours of the surface. The resulting color of the surface is a blend of the raster image colors and the color applied to the surface.
Note: This feature is in the early stages of development and the quality of results may vary. This feature has been included mainly for evaluation purposes, please contact Echoview support with feedback, to report bugs, or to discuss your requirements.
You must have done the following before attempting to color a surface using a raster image:
added the surface to the EV file (see creating a surface or importing a surface), and
imported the raster image into the EV file.
To color a surface using a raster image:
On the View menu, click Scene Manager to display the Scene Manager dialog box.
Click the Objects tab.
Select the surface to be colored.
Click the Properties button to display the Properties dialog box.
Click the Raster Images tab.
Select the raster image(s) that will be used to color the surface.
Click OK.
You can now view the raster-colored surface in a scene. If you have not already added the surface to a scene you will need to do so before you can view it.
