Description

Sea water

If selected, the Salinity and pH boxes are made available.

Note: This checkbox should only be selected if the data were recorded in sea water.

Temperature (℃)

The temperature of the water in which the data were recorded.

Salinity (ppt)

The salinity of the water in which the data were recorded.

Note: This is only available if the Sea water checkbox is selected.

Depth (m)

The depth at which you wish to calculate sound speed and absorption coefficient.

Pressure (kPa)

The pressure at which you wish to calculate the sound speed.

pH

The pH value of the water in which the data were recorded.

Note: This is only available if the Sea water checkbox is selected.

Frequency (kHz)

Echosounder frequency.

Note: Echosounder frequency is commonly available on the Details dialog box. If you are using BioSonics DT4 files, temperature and salinity is displayed on the Details dialog box.
