The Define Line-relative Region dialog box is used to create a line-relative region.
To display the Define Line-Relative Region dialog box:
On the Echogram tools toolbar, click the Vertical band tool
or Horizontal band tool
.
Make a selection on the echogram.
On the Shortcut menu (right-click), click Define Line-relative Region.
The settings are used to define the lines and offsets that will be used to create the region.
|
Settings |
Description |
|
Upper line |
Choose a line from the list to base the upper boundary of the region on. |
|
Offset |
If desired, enter a depth offset to be added to the upper line to create the upper boundary of the region. |
|
Lower line |
Choose a line from the list to base the lower boundary of the region on. |
|
Offset |
If desired, enter a depth offset to be added to the lower line to create the lower boundary of the region. Note: You can use the same line for the upper and lower line but offsets must result in the upper line being located above the lower line. |
Notes:
If you have used the Horizontal band tool, the region created will span the whole echogram.
If you have used the Vertical band tool, the region will span the boundaries of the vertical selection.
If there is a break in either of the lines, the region cannot be created and a message will appear. You can use the Line-break finding tool to find breaks in the line(s) and fix them prior to defining a line-relative region.
