The Import Surface dialog box is used to import a surface into your EV file.
To display the Import Surface dialog box:
On the View menu, click Scene manager to display the Scene Manager dialog box.
Click the Objects tab.
Click Import.
Select the file to import.
Click Open.
The Import Surface dialog box contains the following settings:

Surface name |
Enter a name for the surface you are importing. This name will be used in the Scene Manager dialog box. |

Maximum triangulation distance |
Enter the maximum allowable distance between points in the surface. Where this distance is exceeded a gap will be displayed in the surface. |

Object coloring by intensity |
If the surface is being imported from an xyzi file, the Object coloring by intensity area will be displayed. Use the following settings to set the intensity color display settings for the surface:

QTC seabed classes |
If the surface is being imported from an .seabed file, the QTC seabed classes area will be displayed. The change buttons set the color used for each QTC seabed class. The QTC seabed class is stored for each point of a .seabed file through a Class Identifier value. For further information on QTC seabed class please consult your EchoIMPACT manual. |
