The Scene Manager dialog box contains two pages:

Scenes page

The Scenes page of the Scene Manager dialog box lists all existing scenes in the EV file. There are five buttons available:

Buttons

Description

New

Displays the Scene Properties dialog box and allows you to create a new scene

Properties

Displays the Scene Properties dialog box and allows you to view the properties or edit the selected scene

Delete

Deletes the selected scene

Warning: There is no undo option and you cannot undelete a deleted scene

Copy

Creates an exact copy of the selected scene, which you can then edit without losing the original scene

Export

Exports the selected scene as a VRML world file (.wrl) that can be viewed in a supported VRML viewer

View

Displays the selected scene

Objects page

The Objects page of the Scene Manager dialog box lists all of the 3D objects created in the EV file that are available to be added to scenes. There are five buttons available:

Description

Properties

Displays the 3D Object Properties dialog box and view or edit the properties of the selected 3D object

Delete

Deletes the selected 3D object

 

Warning: There is no undo option and you cannot undelete a deleted 3D object

Copy

Creates an exact copy of the selected object

Import

Import 3D objects, see Importing 3D objects

Export

Export the selected 3D object, see Exporting 3D objects

Resample

Creates a new 3D object by resampling an existing object, see Resample Surface dialog box for more information
 

Note: Surfaces are the only 3D objects that can be resampled
