Species Properties dialog box

The Species Properties dialog box is used to create and edit species so they may be included in biomass estimates.

To display the Species Properties dialog box:

Display the EV File Properties dialog box.
Click the Classes tab.
In the Species section, do one of the following:
1. Click New to define a new species; or
2. Click an existing species then click Properties to edit the properties of an existing species.

Settings	Description
Name	Enter a name for the species.
Expected mean TS	Specify the expected mean target strength of individual specimens of the species.
Expected mean weight	Specify the expected mean weight of individual specimens of the species.
Notes	Use this box to enter additional information you would like to record about the species.

Note: The values you enter are the default values only and can be overridden at the region class level.
