You will need to install the HASP HL device (dongle) driver to use the dongle(s). You can do this as part of installing Echoview or after you have installed Echoview.
To install the HASP HL device driver after you have installed Echoview:
- Start Windows (log in as an administrator if you are running 2000/XP)
- Locate the HASP installation application HASPUserSetup.exe on the Echoview DVD or download it from the Echoview website.
- Run the application
- Accept the typical installation option unless you have reason to do otherwise
- We recommend restarting your computer once the driver has finished installing.
Notes:
- HASP dongles require the installation of a device driver. Echoview versions earlier than 3.45 require HASP 4 device driver. Echoview versions 3.45 and onwards require HASP HL device driver version 5.19 or higher. These drivers can be downloaded from the Echoview website.
- If the HASP driver fails to install for any reason, please consult the SafeNet Inc. website for any possible driver updates. New PC architectures and Microsoft Windows updates are appearing regularly and are known on occasion to prevent low level drivers such as these from operating.
