Module licensing prerequisites

The figure below illustrates Echoview licensing prerequisites. Modules are only licensed for use along with all precursor modules. For example, the license for a Fish tracking module is sold only to holders of Analysis export module, Bathymetric module and Base module licenses.

Note: The Multibeam module has been replaced by the 3D Sonar module.

Specialist modules

These specialist modules are available:

• Furuno FSV-30 (research version) module
• Reson 7000 series module
• Echolog 60 module
• Echolog 500 module
• Echolog SM module

In addition, when other modules are not licensed, restricted and/or time limited Echoview features are available under demonstation mode.

RESON 7000 series module

The RESON 7000 series module together with the 3D sonar module allows you to view and analyse RESON 7000 series data.

Furuno FSV-30 (research version) module

The Furuno FSV-30 (research version) module allows access to algorithms owned by the Furuno Electric Company.

Specifc features

• The following integration algorithms:
  • H-mode cruise scanning - Furuno
  • V-mode cruise scanning - Furuno
  • S-mode cruise scanning - Furuno
  • H-mode instrument scanning - Furuno
  • V-mode instrument scanning - Furuno
  • Target-locked scanning - Furuno
  •  
• The following operator algorithms:
  • Bottom echo bitmap H-mode - Furuno
  •  
• The integration algorithm for viewing target-locked data in the used with Shortcut menu > Inspect region.

These algorithms are for use with multibeam and scanning sonars, in particular the Furuno FSV-30 (Research version) instrument.

Echolog 60 module, Echolog 500 module, Echolog SM module

The Echolog 60 module enables the live viewing and/or data compression of .raw data from Simrad Ex60 echosounders. The Echolog 60 module is free but must be licensed for use.

The Echolog 500 module enables the live viewing and logging of Simrad EK500 compatible telegrams sent from Ex500 and Ex60 echosounders. The Echolog 500 module is free but must be licensed for use.

Note: Live viewing in Echoview 5 is only possible using version 4 Echolog applications. Previous versions of Echolog applications (3.xx and older) are not compatible with Echoview version 5, however data generated from older versions can be used with Echoview 5.

Echolog 60 specific features

• Echolog_60 for live viewing, logging and/or data compression of Ex60 echosounder data.

• Echozip 60 for data compression of data files logged by Ex60 echosounders
•  
• Echodepth for displaying sounder-detected depths during logging.
•  
• Echosim 60 for simulating an EK60 for testing and set up purposes.

Echolog 500 specific features

• Echolog 500 for logging EK500 compatible telegrams from Ex500 and Ex60 echosounders.

Echolog SM module

The Echolog SM module logs data from the Simrad Mesotech SM2000 FR multibeam echosounder.

Note: From Echoview 4.40, these programs are no longer distributed or supported.

• Echolog SM for live viewing, logging and/or real time data compression.

• Echozip SM for data compression of existing data files.
•  
• Echosim SM for simulating an SM2000 FR for testing, demonstration and set up purposes.
