Using image data

Image data is displayed in a Media window. Image and echogram data can be auto-synchronized. This feature can facilitate visual and analytical analyses.

Echoview can read *.jpg and *.jpeg files that include Exif data. Related image files to a fileset.

Preparing image data for auto-synchronous display

  1. On the Fileset window right-click the image variable and select Properties.
  2. On the Media Display page, specify how to display images.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Display associated echogram data.
  5. Click Auto sync button to place the echogram window in the auto-synchronization group.
  6. Place the Media window in the auto-synchronization group Auto sync button.
  7. Place the Media window in the auto-synchronization group Auto sync button.
  8. Drag the Media window slider or drag the echogram synchronization-line.

Notes:

  • A Cruise track window can move a Media window when they are in an auto-synchronous group.
  • On an active echogram Shortcut menu, Synchronize (A) or Shortcut menu, Synchronize To Point synchronizes all echograms and the Media window.
  • A *.media.csv file can be used instead of using times from EXIF data.
