Below is a list of the new features, enhancements and other changes in Echoview 2.10 with links to help pages describing new features.

Major features added since Echoview 2.00

Along-track Display

Processing results (Mean SV, Nautical Area Scattering Co-efficient, depth, etc) for integration intervals can be displayed as a color-coded cruise track. This feature is also available in real time with the Live-viewing Module for Simrad EK60/EK500/EA500. See Along-track display.

Single target detection

Single beam and split beam algorithms are provided to detect single targets from high resolution raw data from Simrad and BioSonics echosounders (Kaijo support is pending).

Multibeam support

SM2000 multibeam data can be replayed in Echoview 2.10. Individual beams can also be selected for echogram display. See Multibeam module.

EK60 and ES60 support (BETA)

Preliminary support for reading and analyzing raw data files from Simrad EK60 and ES60 echosounders.

Additional enhancements

  • Six new operators for virtual variables:

Single target detection - split beam
Single target detection - single beam

5 x 5 Convolution
7 x 7 Convolution

Ping time shift

Beam select

  • Angular position data type - for single target detection.

  • Additional Raw Variable types.

  • Additional Echogram display options - see Echogram page of the EV File Properties dialog box

  • New Cruise Track options. See Export GPS fixes and the Show bad fixes option on the Cruise Track page of the EV file Properties dialog box.
