To export bottom classification data:

  1. Display a bottom classification table or display a bottom classification cruise track.
  2. On the Table menu or Cruise track menu, click Export Data.
  3. - OR -

Variable

Description

Point_index

Bottom point index number.

Point_date

Bottom point date in yyyy-MM-dd format.

It is the ping date at the mid-point ping of the Feature Extraction Interval of the bottom point.

Point_time

Bottom point time in HH:mm:ss format.

It is the time at the mid-point ping of the Feature Extraction Interval of the bottom point.

Point_milliseconds

The millisecond component of Point_time.

Latitude

Latitude (decimal degrees) of the bottom point.

It is the latitude of the mid-point ping of the Feature Extraction Interval of the bottom point.

Longitude

Longitude (decimal degrees) of the bottom point.

It is the longitude of the mid-point ping of the Feature Extraction Interval of the bottom point.

Altitude

Altitude (m) of the bottom point.

It is calculated as:

  • the altitude of the middle ping (where there are an odd number of pings in feature extraction interval)
  • the average altitude of the center pings (where there are and even number of pings in the feature extraction interval)

Altitude_of_water_surface

Altitude of the Z coordinate of the water surface.

Depth

Depth of the bottom point.

Depth represents the mean depth (m) of the bottom line in the Feature Extraction Interval used for the bottom point.

The Feature Extraction setting Bottom_line_depth mean is calculated in the same way.

Depth is exported even when Bottom_line_depth_mean is not selected as a feature for the bottom classification.

Note: Depth is calculated at the time features are extracted. When Reclassify Bottom is used, Depth is not recalculated and will not reflect subsequent changes to the Platform Properties.

Class_ID

Identification number for the class of the bottom point.

A Class_ID = -1 represents an Unclassified bottom point, and some of its bottom features may record a special export value of -9.9e+37 (no data).

Class_name

Class name assigned to the bottom point.

Bottom_roughness_normalized

Selected extracted feature for a bottom classification.

Bottom_hardness_normalized

Selected extracted feature for a bottom classification.

First_bottom_length_normalized

Selected extracted feature for a bottom classification.

Second_bottom_length_normalized

Selected extracted feature for a bottom classification.

Bottom_rise_time_normalized

Selected extracted feature for a bottom classification.

Bottom_line_depth_mean

Selected extracted feature for a bottom classification.

Bottom_max_sv

Selected extracted feature for a bottom classification.

Bottom_kurtosis

Selected extracted feature for a bottom classification.

Bottom_skewness

Selected extracted feature for a bottom classification.
