Maximum Intensity - Matrix

This Maximum Intensity operator scans matrix data along the major- or minor-axis, producing multibeam pings where each sample (at range R) contains the maximum value of all corresponding samples that are also at range R along the scanned axis. Essentially, one of the dimensions (range, minor angle or major angle) is set as a free variable across which all values are being evaluated for maximum values and at each possible combination of the other (fixed) variables. The output variable data types are Multibeam Sv, Multibeam TS or Multibeam unspecified dB, matched to whichever operand is used.

Operand 1

  • Matrix Sv
  • Matrix TS
  • Matrix unspecified dB

Maximum Intensity - Matrix

Select a Scan Direction. This is the direction to evaluate maximum values across a ping:

  • Along major axis - (yields a minor axis sector)
  • Along minor axis - (yields a major axis sector)
