XYZI File Interpretation dialog box

The XYZI Interpretation dialog box is used to display geographic information when importing *.xyzi files.  The XYZ Interpretation box is used to display geographic information when importing *.xyz files.  The XYZI File Interpretation dialog box is shared for both .XYZI and .XYZ files. Its caption changes according to the type of the imported file.

To display the XYZI Interpretation dialog box or the XYZ Interpretation dialog box:

  1. Display the Import Surface dialog box for a *.xyzi file or a *.xyz file.

  2. Click Import.

The following information is displayed in the dialog box:

Settings

Description

Filename

The full directory path and filename of the imported file

Datum

Coordinate system reference for all geographic data within the imported image file

Note: Only WGS 84 is supported.

Units

Meters for UTM geographic data and degrees for Equirectangular geographic data

Projection

Coordinate system used for geographic data (UTM or Equirectangular)

When geographic data in the imported files is UTM format, you must enter the following details into the Zone section:

Zone number

UTM zone of the scene into which the image will be imported

Hemisphere

Hemisphere of the scene into which the image will be imported
