ICES SONAR-netCDF4 convention for sonar data

Echoview handling for the ICES SONAR-netCDF4 convention for sonar data includes:

Read support

• Simrad omnisonar and fishery sonar (SU90, MF90, CS90, ST90, SX90, SY50, SN90) data in version 1 files
• Furuno FCV-38  (version 1 and version 2) split beam echosounder, v1 and v2
• Furuno FSV-25 omnisonar, v1

Write support

• Sv data from Furuno FSV-30R omnisonar data to version 1 files using type 2 equations

Caveats

Reading ICES Sonar-netCDF convention sonar data from *.nc files does not generate EVI files.

Future development

Support for ICES Sonar-netCDF convention sonar data is in a continuing state of development. In planning these developments, we are committed to basing our plans upon the needs and wants of the user base.
