Raw variables derived from HAC data files
This page describes the variables that Echoview can derive from HAC files.
For Generic channels
Echoview can derive the following variables from HAC data files containing supported ping tuples:
- Sv pings (channel n)
- TS pings (channel n)
- Angular position pings (channel n)
- Single target detections split beam pings (channel n), see note.
- position GPS fixes
For EK500 channels
Echoview can derive the following variables from HAC data files containing supported EK500 tuples:
- Sv pings (channel n)
- Sv pings Tt (channel n)
- TS pings (channel n)
- TS pings Tt (channel n)
- Angular position pings Tt (channel n)
- Single target detections split beam pings Tt (channel n), see note.
- position GPS fixes
For BioSonics 102 channels
Echoview can derive the following variable from HAC data files containing supported BioSonics 102 tuples:
- Sv pings (channel n)
- Sv pings Tt (channel n)
- TS pings (channel n)
- TS pings Tt (channel n)
Legend
n = channel number
t = transducer number. In the case of BioSonics 102 tuples t corresponds to a beam width (you may have examine the original data to correlate Tt (channel n) with narrow or wide beam)
