New in Echoview 4.40
for users of data from DIDSON imaging sonars

DIDSON file support and fish tracking with DIDSON data is under continuous improvement. This page summarizes the new features, improvements and other changes that have been implemented in Echoview 4.40 which specifically affect the use of data from DIDSON sonars.

Support for Big Lens data files

Echoview has added support for DIDSON data files collected with a big lens.

A calibration setting Beam spread has been added to the Calibration page of the Variable Properties dialog box. This setting allows you to differentiate between big lens and standard lens data and adjusts the echogram display accordingly.

See Calibration settings for DIDSON data for more details.

Improved viewing and new analysis techniques

Your data can now be viewed with the looped multibeam replay feature and several new operators enable you to determine and display target length for detected targets.
