HTI details

The Details dialog box lists the following information that is specific to HTI data.

File

*.raw

If ChirpBandwidth = 0:

  • File name
  • Frequency (kHz)
  • Sound speed (m/s)
  • Chirp (Off)
  • Pulse length (ms)
  • Period interval (ms)
  • TVG gain (dB)
  • Major axis angle ratio
  • Minor axis angle ratio

If ChirpBandwidth <> 0:

  • File name
  • Frequency (kHz)
  • Sound speed (m/s)
  • Chirp bandwidth (kHz)
  • Effective pulse length (ms)
  • Period interval (ms)
  • TVG gain (dB)
  • Major axis angle ratio
  • Minor axis angle ratio

*.smp

On Sv echograms:

  • File name
  • Frequency (kHz)

  • Chirp bandwidth (kHz)
  • Effective pulse length (ms)
  • Period interval (ms)
  • Receiver gain (dB)
  • Source level (dB)
  • Transmit power
  • Through system gain (dB)
  • TVG gain (dB)
  • Beam pattern factor (dB)
  • TVG crossover distance at calibration (m)
  • TVG crossover distance at collection (m)

On TS echograms:

  • File name

Not used by TS but used by split-beam compensation: HTI Beam Pattern Coefficients (see note)

On angle echograms:

  • File name
  • Frequency (kHz)
  • Sound speed (m/s)
  • Chirp bandwidth (kHz)
  • Effective pulse length (ms)
  • Period interval (ms)
  • TVG gain (dB)
  • Major axis angle ratio
  • Minor axis angle ratio

Note: HTI Beam Pattern Coefficients are not used by TS echograms but they can be used by single target detection (split-beam) operators when the HTI beam compensation model is selected on the Single Target Detection page of the Variable Properties dialog box. For more information refer to HTI split-beam beam compensation.
