The Fixes page of the Variable Properties dialog box is used to display details about the GPS fixes for the selected position variable.

Fixes contained in this variable |
Displays the fixes in the selected variable. It identifies the Fix source and the Counts associated with the Fix source. Note: Echoview offers the GPS filter operator to filter GPS fixes. Numerous and/or variable quality GPS fixes from multiple sources may produce cruise tracks that are unnecessarily erratic. Erratic GPS fixes can result in unreasonable or even nonsensical apparent vessel speeds from fix to fix. Where GPS data is excessive or of mixed quality, it is strongly advised that you filter the GPS fixes. For more information refer to Processing and smoothing cruise tracks: Filtering GPS data. |
