Scripting errors

The Echoview Automation module automatically creates a scripting log file when a script is run.

If errors are encountered while the script is running, the log file provides details of the error and the parameter values in use when the error occurred. A description of the error will also be detailed.

For Echoview 17 and later, the scripting log file is stored in the current Windows user's local application data folder. The default file path is:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Echoview Software\Echoview64\N\Echoview scripting log.txt

where <username> is the current Windows user name and N is the Echoview release.

Because the file is stored in the user profile, each Windows user has a separate scripting log file.

Note: Prior to Echoview 17, the scripting log file was typically stored in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Echoview Software\Echoview N\Echoview scripting log.txt.

Echoview scripting log.txt is supported by the following COM commands and documentation:
