About ping status

You can assign a user defined status to a time interval on a variable for the purposes of classification. The status is applied to the time of the nearest ping on the boundary of the selection. Ping status is an EV file property only.

Values of Ping status are defined on the Ping status page of the EV File Properties dialog box.

It is selected for display under Integram analysis on the Echogram Display page of the Variable Properties dialog box.

To apply ping status to a series of pings:

1. Display an echogram.

2. Make a selection using the Vertical band tool .

3. On the Shortcut menu (right-click), point to Set ping status and then click the required ping status.

Note: The color black corresponds to a ping status of "Not Set".
