Adding GPS data to an EV file

You can add GPS data from .gps.csv files to an EV file the same way you add other data files, i.e. by adding them to a fileset.

Note: This page does not cover GPS data that are derived directly from echosounder data files, e.g. GPS fixes derived from Simrad EK500 telegrams. These data are added to the EV file automatically.

Adding GPS data to a new EV file

To add GPS data to a new EV file.

1. Create a new EV file.
2. Click Add to display the Add Data Files dialog box.
3. Select the .gps.csv file and click Open.

You can now create additional filesets and add data files as required.

Adding GPS data into an existing EV file

To add GPS data to an EV file when Fileset1 has been left empty, complete steps 2 and 4 of the "Adding GPS data to a new EV file" procedure described above.

To add GPS data to an EV file when Fileset1 contains data files:

1. Save a backup copy of the EV file.
2. Create an additional fileset.
3. Click Add to display the Add Data Files dialog box.
4. Select the .gps.csv file and click Open.
