Single target TS vs. depth graph

The TS vs. depth graph shows a scatter plot of the target strength of individual targets against the depth for single targets.

Warning:   Depth is plotted using Target on_axis_depth not Target_true_depth.

To display a TS vs. depth graph for a selection:

  1. Make a selection.

  2. On the Shortcut (right-click) menu, point to Graph Selection, and then click TS vs. Depth.

To display a TS vs depth distribution graph for a region:

  1. Select an existing region or define a new region.

    Note:
    If you wish to graph a bad data region, you must clear the Exclude bad regions option on the Analysis page of the Variable Properties dialog box.
     

  2. On the Shortcut (right-click) menu, point to Graph Region and then click TS vs. Depth.

Legend

Each single target is displayed as a + symbol at the relevant TS/Depth coordinate.

Hints

  • Filters can be applied to targets prior to graphing using criteria specified on the Data page of the Variable Properties dialog box.

  • Displayed TS vs Depth graphs will be recalculated and redisplayed if filter or other settings that affect the data are changed.

  • If any targets are not displayed due to being filtered out, then that fact is reported below the graph. The graph window can be resized and the graph can be printed, but no other operations are supported.
