About Targets_binned

Targets_binned is an analysis export variable available in exported single target frequency distribution analyses.

It reports the number of single targets in the analysis domain which were counted and placed in bins. The bins are defined on the Analysis page of the Variable Properties dialog box.

This variable is exported only if it is selected on the Export page of the EV File Properties dialog box.

Note: A target is counted in only one of the following variables in order of priority:

Targets_failed_filter
Targets_failed_thresholds
Targets_excluded
Targets_binned
Targets_missed_bins

and the sum of these 5 variables is the count of all targets in the analysis domain. Not all will be visible on a single targets echogram however as targets failing the filter and thresholds are not displayed.
