2D school detection updates with new live viewing data

2D school detection can now be update when new live viewing data arrives.

See Detecting schools on single beam data for more information.

Calibration values can be read from Ex60 raw files

To read calibration values from any Ex60 data files (.raw, .ek6 or .ek60), use Apply calibration settings on the Calibration page of the Variable properties dialog box. For all new EV files this is set by default. That is, the calibration settings will be read directly from the first ping stored in the first data file which contributes to a variable and used to populate the Calibration page of the Variable Properties dialog box.

New Echolog 60 Live viewing broadcast interval setting limits

The limits for the Echolog 60 Live viewing broadcast interval setting are now 1s to 30s. A wider range of update rates allows Echolog 60 to be even more useful for live viewing your data.

Support for Multiplexed variables in Ex60 .raw files can be disabled

Support for multiplexed variables as used by the National Marine and Fisheries Service was introduced in Echoview 3.20. This support clashed with some other needs and is now optional. If data files are added which appear to contain multiplexed variables you can opt to ignore this.

Support for the Simrad ME70 .raw data format.

Echoview introduces support for the Simrad ME70 .raw data format. The data in each transducer channel can be displayed as a single beam echogram.

At this early stage we are focused on providing access to the data for testing and basic visualization purposes.

Note: This file format is in beta release.

PR telegrams ignored in data logged with Echolog 500 (.ek5 files)

Prior to Echoview 3.50 the timestamp in PR (parameter Request) telegrams was used by Echoview. These have been deemed unreliable and are no longer used. Other contents of the PR telegram have never been used by Echoview.
