3D Region Integration dialog box

The 3D Region Integration Results dialog box displays the integration results for a 3D region in a scene.

To display the 3D Region Integration Results dialog box for a 3D region:

  1. Click a region on a scene.
  2. On the Shortcut menu (right-click), click Integrate Region.

The 3D Region Integration Results dialog box displays the following information:

Region Name

The name of the 3D region.

Region Class

The class of the 3D region.

General Results page

The General Results page of the 3D Region Integration Dialog Box displays the general integration results for the 3D Region (i.e. all results not related specifically to biomass estimation).

Sv_mean

The Sv_mean within the domain.

Integration volume

An estimate of the physical volume which represented by the samples contained within the region (this is the sum of the individual sample volumes).

This analysis variable may not be displayed in some cases.

N sigma bs

m2

An analysis variable useful for the purposes of biomass estimation.

This analysis variable may not be displayed in some cases.

Center of mass

degrees or meters

Geographic position of the point at the mass center of the 3D region. If using the UTM projection, geographic position is measured in eastings and northings. Other projections use longitude and latitude.

Mass center depth

meters

Depth (below mean sea level) at the mass center of the 3D region.

Sample mean

same units as the variable chosen for analysis.

The mean value of all the sample values contained within the region. This mean is taken in the linear domain if the variable being analyzed is in dB.

Sample minimum

same units as the variable chosen for analysis.

The minimum value of all the sample values contained within the region.

Sample maximum

same units as the variable chosen for analysis.

The maximum value of all the sample values contained within the region.

Samples

-

Number of good data samples in the region. That is samples which do not have a value of no_data.

No_data_samples

The number of samples in the region which have a value of no_data.

Pings

-

Number of pings in the variable being analyzed which intersect with the region.

Beams

-

Number of beams in the variable being analyzed which intersect with the region.

Biomass Information page

The Biomass Information page of the 3D Region Integration Dialog Box lists for each species which is included in the class of the 3D region being analyzed, the mass (weight) of fish for the species detected in that 3D region. See Fish_weight.
