New Virtual Line dialog box
New Virtual Surface dialog box
New Analysis Exporter dialog box

This dialog box is used to create new virtual lines or virtual surfaces via the Line and Surface Tool or exporters via the Echogram menu, while a single beam or multibeam echogram is displayed. Note, to create a new Dataflow window object (which includes dataflow object, virtual variable, virtual surface or exporter) use the Dataflow Toolbox.

New Virtual Line/Time Series

  1. Display a single beam echogram.
  2. On the Line and Surface Tool list, select New Virtual Line/Time Series.
  3. Under Select operator. use the Filter to find and select an operator.
  4. Click OK.
  5. On the Operands page, check the Operand(s) and/or add required operands.
  6. On the Name and Notes page, enter Name/Dynamic name and Notes.
  7. Configure virtual line's or time series' other properties.
  8. Click OK.

New Virtual Surface

  1. Display a multibeam echogram.
  2. On the Line and Surface Tool list, select New Virtual Surface.
  3. Under Select operator use the Filter to find and select an operator.
  4. Click OK.
  5. On the Operands page, check the Operand(s) and/or add required operands.
  6. On the Name and Notes page, enter Name/Dynamic name and Notes.
  7. Configure virtual surface's other properties.
  8. Click OK.

New Analysis Exporter

  1. Display a single beam echogram.
  2. On the Echogram menu, select Export, New Analysis Exporter...
  3. Under Select export type, use the Filter to find and select an operator.
  4. Click OK.
  5. On the Operands page, check the Operand(s) and/or add required operands.
  6. On the Name and Notes page, enter Name/Dynamic name and Notes.
  7. Configure exporter's other properties.
  8. Click OK.

Notes:

  • Some operators may be optimized for multi-threading.
  • Greyed-out operators are unavailable but their description can be viewed.
  • When an operator requires two or more operands for input, only pings with the same ping geometry will be used to create the virtual variable. See Using multiple operands for more information.

Description

Select operator

This section enables text filtering, and displays operator licensing, multi-threading and operator description information so that you can find suitable operators and discover new operators.

Filter The Filter box accepts text and uses it to filter displayed operators/export types by name or licensing.

Selected variable

This section is available when the method of creation begins with a selected variable.

Name Name of the Selected variable.
Data type Data type of the Selected variable.
Only show operators/export types which are compatible with the selected variable Select to filter the list with respect to the Selected variable Data type.
