Exporting speed data

Speed data can be exported from Echoview to a *.speed.csv file.

To export speed data:

1. On the Dataflow window, select the speed variable.
2. Right-click, select Export, Data Values...
3. Configure the export and click Export.
4. Under File name specify a file path.
5. Click Save.

Speed data export files (*.speed.csv)

The first line of the .speed.csv file lists the variables that are exported (these will be used as column headings if the file is loaded into a spreadsheet program). Each subsequent line contains the values for each variable for a water current datum.

The following data are exported.

Variable	Description
Speed_data	A sequential number
Speed_date	yyyy-MM-dd
Speed_time	HH:mm:ss
Speed_milliseconds	Millisecond (ms) component of Speed_time
Speed_meters_per_second	Water current speed (ms-1)

Note: Files in this format (*.speed.csv) can be added into an EV file and read by Echoview as a raw variable.
