Region Editor dialog box
The Region Editor is used to change region classes or types, delete regions or shift regions in depth or time.
To display the Region Editor dialog box:

On the Echogram or Scene menu, click Region Editor.

Currently selected regions
The Currently selected regions () section is used to indicate that you wish to apply changes to selected regions (selected using the Regions window).
Regions matching the following:
The Regions matching the following section is used to select the regions you wish to apply changes to.

Choose to apply changes to a single region type or All types. |
Region class |
Choose to apply changes to a single region class or All classes. |
Region dimension |
Choose to apply changes to either 2D regions or 3D regions (see About region dimension) Note: not all actions are available for 3D regions. |
Action
The Action section is used to define the change you wish to make to the regions that match the type and class selected in the section above.

If selected, this option will change all matching regions to the selected type. |

If selected, this option will change all matching regions to the selected class. |

Delete regions |
If selected, this option will permanently delete all matching regions from the EV file. |

Shift regions in depth dimension |
If selected, this option will move the regions up or down the water column by the entered amounts.

Shift regions in time dimension |
If selected, this option will move regions by the entered amount of time. Select Add to move regions forward in time and Subtract to move regions backward in time. Region values in the depth dimension are unchanged. |

Classify regions |
If selected, this option will Classify regions according to the settings on the Region Classification Page of the EV File Properties dialog box. Note: This option is only available for Sv variables. For further information refer to Classifying regions. |

Create transects from regions |
If selected, this option will convert a transect from a region. Note: Then name and notes from the region will automatically be transferred to the Name and Notes field of the newly created transect. For further information refer to Using transects. |
