About tables

Acoustic data

Available for a supported acoustic variable and includes:

• No. (Ping number)
• Date/Time (yyyy-MMM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Data file (the name of your raw data file)
• Start range (m)
• Stop range (m)
• Data points (number of samples in the ping)

Notes:

• An export via the Table menu is handled as for a data export. Exports to several file formats may be available.

Bottom classification data

Available for a bottom points variable. Each line will contain data for a bottom classification and can include:

• No. (Index or ping number)
• Date/Time (yyyy-MMM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Latitude (degrees)
• Longitude (degrees)
• Altitude (m)
• Depth (m)
• Class+
• Bottom_roughness_normalized
• Bottom_hardness_normalized*
• First_bottom_length_normalized
• Second_bottom_length_normalized*
• Bottom_rise_time_normalized
• Bottom_line_depth_mean
• Bottom_max_Sv (dB)
• Bottom_kurtosis
• Bottom_skewness

Notes:

• The table displays extracted (user specified) bottom features.
• *The Bottom_hardness_normalized and the Second_bottom_length_normalized are based on a existence and measurability of the second bottom echo.
• +Modify a bottom point's Class by selecting a different class from the Class list. An exported bottom points file outputs a Class_name and Class_ID.

Heading data

Available for a heading variable. Each line in the table will contain the following data for a single heading determination:

• No. (Index or ping number)
• Date/Time (yyyy-MMM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Data file (the name of your raw data file)
• Heading (degrees)

Available for a length variable. Each line in the table will contain the following:

• No. (Index or ping number)
• Date/Time (yyyy-MMM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Data file (the name of your raw data file)
• Length (m)

Line data

Available for line variables. Each line in the table may contain the following data for a single time/depth line coordinate:

• No. (Index or ping number)
• Date/Time (yyyy-MMM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Data file (the name of your raw data file)
• Depth (m)
• Status (see About line status)

Notes:

• A raw line variable may have a related Position GPS fix variable.
• Depth is referenced to the Z coordinate of the water level. Positive depths are reported for displacement below the water level.

Pitch data

Available for a pitch variable. Each line in the table will contain the following data for a single pitch determination:

• No. (Index or ping number)
• Date/Time (yyyy-MMM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Data file (the name of your raw data file)
• Pitch (degrees)

Position GPS fixes

Available for a GPS fix variable. Each line in the table will contain the following data for a single position GPS fix:

• No. (Index or ping number)
• Date/Time (yyyy-MMM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Data file (the name of your raw data file)
• Latitude (degrees)
• Longitude (degrees)
• Source (any NMEA GPS-fix letter groups identified by Echoview)
• Status (displays GPS fix Status export values)
• Distance (nmi) (distance estimate between fixes is displayed and exported)

Notes:

• GPS data from Simrad GL Telegrams can contain Altitude values which may be derived as a line depth variable.

Roll data

Available for a roll variable. Each line in the table will contain the following data for a single roll determination:

• No. (Index or ping number)
• Date/Time (yyyy-MMM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Data file (the name of your raw data file)
• Roll (degrees)

Available for a speed variable. Each line in the table will contain the following:

• No. (Index or ping number)
• Date/Time (yyyy-MMM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Data file (the name of your raw data file)
• Speed (m/s)

Transect group

Double-click a transect group object to open the transect group table. Each row in the table defines a transect:

• ID (An integer representing the index or transect number)
• Name (A string—this is unique within the transect group)
• Start time (yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Stop time (yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Notes (A string—your customized description)

Echoview includes the above fields in the *.transect.csv export.

Right-click to open the shortcut menu for options to:

• create a transect with New transect...
• delete the selected transect with Delete Transect
• access the Transect Properties dialog box with Transect Properties
• access the Transect Group Properties dialog box Transect Group Properties
• Synchronize all open echograms and cruise tracks to the selected transect (refer to Inspecting transects) with Synchronize To Transect

Vessel logs

Available for a vessel log variable. Each line in the table will contain the following data for a single vessel log determination:

• No. (Index or ping number)
• Date/Time (yyyy-MMM-dd HH:mm:ss.sss)
• Data file (the name of your raw data file)
• Distance (nmi)
