Exporting fish track analyses

There are two exports types for fish track analyses:

Generally, you perform the export on a single targets echogram (rather than a Sv echogram, TS echogram etc). The echogram should have at least one defined region that is visible.

Notes:

Setting up the export

Choose the analysis variables to export, and the export format:

  1. Open the EV File Properties dialog box (Press F6).
  2. Click on the Export tab.
    1. under the Analysis variables to export section, select the fish track analysis variables to export.
    2. In the Output format section choose the required export format.
    3. Enable the export of empty cells, in the General section. (For Fish Track analysis by cells only.)
  3. Click OK to save your changes and close the EV File Properties dialog box.

Fish track analysis by regions

Exports analysis variables for fish tracks to a .csv file. Each line of the output file(s) contains the analysis variables for a single fish track.

  1. Complete the set up.
  2. Bring the single target echogram with detected fish tracks into focus.
  3. On the menu, navigate to Echogram, Export, Analysis by Regions and click Fish Tracks... to open the Export fish track - Select Classes dialog box.
  4. Choose the region class(es) of interest, then click Export... to open the save file dialog box.
  5. Navigate to a destination folder and enter a File name for the file(s).
  6. Click Save.

Fish track analysis by cells

Exports analysis variables for fish tracks and identifies the cell in which the fish track is located. Each line of the output file(s) contains the analysis variables for a single fish track and the cell (identified by the Layer and Interval values) in which the fish track is located.

  1. Complete the set up.
  2. Bring the single target echogram with detected fish tracks into focus.
  3. Define a grid (if not already done).
  4. On the menu, navigate to Echogram, Export, Analysis by Cells and click Fish Tracks... to open the Export fish track - Select Classes dialog box.
  5. Choose the region class(es) of interest, then click Export... to open the save file dialog box.
